Here in Uncle Bob's World we play with cars.  Over the past 45 years there have been a wide variety of wheeled vehicles that rolled through the driveway.  Hot rods, pickups, motor cycles, muscle cars, race cars, sports cars, classics, and antiques..................okay, and a few mundane family cars as well.  But the one's that stir the passions are those that have character.  Some were high quality cars, some proved to be junk, but each was enjoyed for the pleasures they brought.

Over time this site will grow to include photo albums of the cars that are currently in the process of being built.  The exercise of modifying or building from the ground up can be both satisfying and frustrating.  At times the scope of the project can overwhelm.  But as often happens, when we look back on the process, it's the accomplishments that far outweigh the setbacks. 

There will also be albums of vehicles past.  If space and time permits there may even be a short story to accompany those that warrant telling.

Sure, there are other interests in our lives here and some of that will make an appearance.  In a similar vein to the car building, we also enjoy remodeling each successive home we've lived in.  There's just something about the building process, whether it's steel, wood, iron, concrete, fiberglass, or whatever the material, that stirs the fires of creativity.
